The door bar or door shelf bin is used to add extra space to the refrigerator for storing food and drinks. It is made of durable plastic, but it can crack, break, or become brittle over time. If heavy items are placed on the door shelves, this can cause the door bars that hold them to break. If the part no longer attaches firmly to the inner door panel, it must be replaced.

No tools are needed to replace the door shelf bar. Open the refrigerator and carefully lift the old door bar out and set it aside. Align the slots and tabs of the door and the door bar, then apply gentle pressure to firmly insert it into the designated anchor.
